Community

The Norfolk Pearls Foundation of Virginia, Incorporated underscores the international service program of its member, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated^®, Iota Omega Chapter.

Program emphasis will center around building relationships with value-like organizations in Norfolk and supporting the Member’s community programs relating to education, health, leadership development, financial literacy, family empowerment, social justice, and the local community.

In pursuit of our mission to improve the academic and personal excellence of youth in Norfolk,  NPFV will support programs designed to positively encourage continued education.  This goal is aligned with the Member’s program of educational enrichment, a major national  service program of the sorority. 

In pursuit of our mission to support the Member’s programs that advance the socio-economic status of families residing in Norfolk, NPFV will focus its efforts on improving  funding and resources to assist families with issues  ranging from educational pursuits, economic disadvantages, health disparities, and other areas to uplift and advance families.

In pursuit of our mission to support the Member’s programs that support the progress of women residing in Norfolk, NPFV will focus its efforts on improving  resources to assist women with issues  ranging from health disparities, economic disadvantages, and other areas to uplift and advance women.
